Hey guys~just want to share with ya'all that whoever is using iPhone 5 in malaysia, just connect your phone with your computer's iTunes and you can update the carrier setting from 3G to the new advance new speed LTE!!^^~*
Yesterday I just walk-in to a MAXIS outlet and ask about how to activate LTE or do I have to get a new plan for it but the staff tell me LTE is not available yet in Malaysia...
But at night when I was home I just connect my phone with my mac and it ask me to update the carrier setting.
,and it worked!!
Unlike the software update this carrier setting update requires no backup, just click OK and it'll process.
I'm not sure for the other carriers(Digi,Celcom etc.)but Maxis already have it~^^*
What is LTE?
LTE is the short form for "Long Term Evolution",it's considered by many to be the obvious successor to the current generation of UMTS which is 3G technology that based upon WCDMA,HSUPA,and HSPA.
Just to let you guys know what I have gathered online,so basically LTE is not a replacement for UMTS like it was a replacement for the GSM network previously.
LTE is an update version of the UMTS technology that can be able to provide significantly faster data rates for both uploading and downloading.^^~*
